TRS-Care Standard premiums have remained unchanged for nearly a decade, providing steady costs and real savings that you can count on. And this year is no different – your premiums for 2027 will be the same as they were for 2026. There is a slight change to the deductible to stay compliant with federal IRS guidelines.

We lowered TRS-Care Medicare Advantage rates before, and we are lowering them again.
Thanks to the partnership with the Texas Legislature and Office of the Governor, federal changes and TRS’ strong financial management of the fund, retiree-only premiums will only be $50 per month in 2027! This will result in $300 in annual savings for enrolled retirees.
