To deliver these important messages using automated or prerecorded technology, we ask you to opt in to receive these communications in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). These messages are informational and not sales calls.
What is TCPA?
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is a federal law enacted in 1991 to protect consumers from unsolicited telemarketing calls and messages like SMS/texts messages and automated voice messages. The law emphasizes the importance of obtaining consumer consent before sending marketing communications.
Why is TCPA Important to You as a Member?
Opting in allows participants to get reminders about health care screenings, plan information and available services. These calls – which may use an auto-dialer, artificial voice or prerecorded call technologies – support your health and help you get the most from your plan.
