TRS Board Committees and Officers

​The TRS Board chair is appointed by the Governor of the State of Texas as the presiding officer of the board. The board elects a vice chair who is a member of the board. TRS Board committees are composed of five members of the board unless otherwise provided by action of the board or Bylaws of the board. The board chair annually appoints committee members and designates the chair of each committee. The following committees are the standing committees established by the board in accordance with section 1.7 of the Bylaws.
